The writer behind this blog is Jenni Perälä, a Finnish translator and language-lover extraordinaire. I translate from English and French into Finnish, and from Finnish into English.
I write the blog in my beautiful mother tongue, Finnish. Kielen päällä is Finnish for on the tip of one’s tongue.
I’m currently working as an in-house translator at Aalto University, Finland. The views expressed in this blog are my own, though, and do not express those of my employer.
My first non-fiction translation into Finnish was published in September 2013 by Schildts & Söderströms. I have also translated some short stories for Spin, the magazine of Turku Science Fiction Society.
